One Month to Live

How would you make each day really matter?
What would you start, or stop, doing?
How would you relate to others?

One thing (of many)I've wanted to do is play the acoustic guitar. I owned one as a child but had to sale it when my Dad and I fell on hard times. I am all grown up now my son Marcus and my husband Mike both play the guitar very well but if I knew I only had one month to live I would learn to play one of my favorite tunes by Chris Tomlin - Amazing Grace (My chains are gone!) Sit by the lake - just me and God and play...You know what I am going to start this week. Ann Scherer

If I only have one month to live,
* I will help my children, (and family) to see God, how I see Him
* I will not be afraid to go and join my Maker.
* I will give away all I have.
* I will spend lots of time with my children.
* I will also write a book, (like Pastor Ken :)
* and I will definitely clean out my storage, so my family don't have to go through all that stuff.

I love you all Cathedral of Faith.

I would be as much like Jesus as I can be! Although I should be doing it now, because we are not promised tomorrow. (I'm trying I truly am). I would give away everything single thing I owned, and while on my death bed I would make my daughter promise me to completely give her life to Jesus and do "whatever it takes" to make it happen! Then I would know my grand kids would follow! And last but not least I will donate/bless any and all organs to whoever needs them to help make the remainder of their time on earth a bit more comfortable. (Just as I was blessed with a donor's cornea).

Glory to God........

I love what Pastor Kenny stated about love..it's not only a feeling but a decision to act/behave with love. We tend to forget about that after one is married for a couple of years. Thank you Pastor Ken..this is something my husband and I needed to hear and learn to practice.

Hey Pastor Ken,

The message this Sunday on Legacy and the entire 1 month to live really hits home for myself and my friends.

Just wanted to encourage you in the Spirit that your ministry and the COF in general, is such a blessing to me.

God bless you and your family!

My husband never knew that I escaped the possible life of drugs, street peddling and prostitution because of my scholarship.
My husband was always aware that it was through scholarships which allowed me to get my education from elementary school through college. I would always express my gratitude to him and share my dreams of how I would someday do the same to help other children.

“I never knew!” He said out loud! With a look of shock on his face.

“What I said?” Fearing the answer would somehow change our world.

And my husband’s answer did change our world…. forever.

He said, “Living in America I always took for granted that education was free and available to every child. Then I learned that back home poor families that can barely put food on the table are left with the choice of eating and living or giving their children an education. What a painful and horrible decision that is for a parent. Knowing that by choosing life they will condemn their child to a dark bleak future.”

My Husband held my hand, looked into my eyes and said,

“We will make your dreams of helping children come true”

“We will give children Scholarships and a chance at a new life”

“4 in the name of Jesus all things are possible”

And that is how Scholars4Jesus was born

To give new life to a dying generation of children.
